The name Team Armitage was "conceived" in January 2008 when I wanted to put a team together and participate in Cancer Research UK's Race For Life to help raise awareness and money for cancer research. Ten women answered the call and accepted the challenge and on July 19 2008, Regents Park, London, we walked  the 3 mile women's only event.

The team's name (which was only supposed to used until I thought of something better) has stuck and here we are!

However, it became quickly become apparent that Team Armitage refers to more than just the ten women who took part in the race. It's been through the efforts of everyone who has banded together to help raise (so far) in excess of £3500 for Cancer Research UK that Team Armitage is truly an international team with "members" from all corners of the globe.

Team Armitage refers to everyone who has come together and as a team is helping to raise money for such a worthwhile charity.

Team Armitage has now taken on a life of it's own and is here to stay!

I truly believe Team Armitage is a team and as a team we can truly make a difference.
